Nomonde Pre-School - our current lead project
Coupled with the Anniversary Project a decision was made improve contact with pre-schools without going through third parties.
Linking with Mr Mahamba and his Management Committee an LTPT decision was made to finance an office in Nomonde Pre-School and the full-time post of Administrator. The Management Committee appointed Yolisa Gqirani to this post and LTPT appointed Nadia Petersen on a part-time basis to be its local representative.
Yolisa’s first big job was to plan to extend the vegetable scheme to five more pre-schools.
Other projects at Nomonde financed by LTPT and its donors
• New 2-classroom unit constructed • Existing buildings renovated and redecorated • New security fencing
• Installation of rainwater tanks and guttering to provide relief from drought conditions
• Improved sanitary conditions
