James Keeling: Treasurer James is a chartered management accountant heading up a consultancy working with SMEs in Telecoms, Media Technology, Pharmaceutical and other sectors.James started his career at the Wellcome Foundation as a Research Scientist.  He has a BSc (Hons) degree in Applied Biology (Medical Microbiology, Biochemistry & Biotechnology), is a qualified Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (FCMA) and a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investments (CISI).When he is not working James enjoys the outdoors and keeps fit running, cycling and sailing.

 When he's not doing that he's running, cycling, sailing or being with his family.

Gordon Gaddes: Chairman Gordon is a graduate of the universities of Cambridge and London. Now retired, he has worked as a Lecturer and Vice-Principal in further education, as a manager and director in British Standards Institution, as Director General of a British industrial federation and as Secretary General of a European organisation. He has been active in local politics and local church and voluntary work. Pam, his wife of 57 years passed away in 2015 (see LTPT Newsletter 17) and two years later he married Rosina, who is carrying on Pam's mantle as a very active LTPT Trustee.  

Emily Lynskey Emily has five years worth of legal experience and an academic background including her Law with Business Degree and Legal Practice Course. Emily’s recent work has been on a two groundbreaking public inquiries. Emily has a passion for voluntary work and has volunteered with various organisations. During the COVID-19 pandemic she volunteered with the NHS supporting those that were self-isolating due to a medical condition. Emily loves to keep active through a variety of sports. She recently ran the Hackney Half Marathon and plans to run the marathon next year.

Rosina Gaddes Rosina has had a long and varied career in sales and office administration, but for the last 17 years has been self — employed in the direct sales industry. She is a committed Churchwarden and Deanery representative for the Hemel Hempstead Parish of St Mary and St Paul and has been an active fundraiser for Barnardo’s and Cancer Research UK. Rosina has been a Trustee since December 2015 and was part of the Sept 2016  and Feb 2019 LTPT missions to Cape Town.

Geoff Smith Geoff has a degree in Economics and after a period at the Ford Motor Company spent most of his working life at Ashridge Management College where he was a tutor and a member of the Management Committee. Later on he set up his own Management Development business together with his wife Andrea. He is now retired and enjoys hiking, skiing, listening to jazz and reading especially about history, politics and science.

Aimee Luther began life in London as a graduate at advertising agency Ogilvy and Mather in 2000.  From here, Aimee has been part of some of ad-land’s most exciting new agencies.  In 2006 Aimee joined the start-up BMB and promoted MD in 2013. Five years later, Aimee moved on to launch the European office of Fortnight Collective, winning an Agency of the Year award in under two years.  This year, Aimee joined The Liberty Guild – another exciting creative start up. When not doing up her 90-inch wide house, Aimee continues to tick off achievements on her ‘must do before 40’ list, having sky-dived, wing-walked and completed the London Marathon three times.  Aimee is proud to have the status of ‘Freedom of the City’ and is a founding Trustee of CALM.

On the 10 July 2021 the Trust’s stated Objects registered with the Charity Commissioners were amended to reflect our widening association with local groups in Langa Township and are now declared to be:

‘The Objects of the charity are to advance education for the benefit of the public of the township of

Langa, Cape Town, South Africa by supporting the Nomonde Educare initiative and any other pre-school initiatives in the township through assistance such as materials, equipment and furnishings and direct financial asistance, the provision of professional advice and such assistance as deemed appropriate’.
